Your New Foodie Paradise
Experience both local eateries and those familiar spots you love. Here are some recommendations for places you need to try when enjoying a getaway to Rogers.
First recommendation is the locally owned, long-time Rogers’s favorite, Sam’s Old Tyme Burgers on East Locust. Then there is regionally owned Lucy’s Diner on Walnut. Both feature old-fashioned burgers as well as many other items for your non-burger eating friends. For over 60 years now, Susie Q. Malt Shop has been hand-pressing burger patties every morning. Be sure to pair with fries or onion rings and a handspun shake or malt. Parkside Public on First Street in downtown (also locally owned by the folks who own Rail-A-Pizza Company, but more on that later). Be sure to try the Southern Slaw burger or the F26; peanut butter on a burger is surprisingly good. Over at the Pinnacle Hills Promenade mall you’ll find Big Orange specializing in bold burgers packed with flavor. Don’t forget to save room for dessert with one of their hand-dipped milkshakes that can be made “Boozy” for those over 21.
Rogers has major chain Italian restaurants including Johnny Carino’s in the Scottsdale Center and Olive Garden on 46th Street. A local place is Mirabella’s Table on W. Pauline Whitaker Parkway near the Pinnacle Hills Promenade and Embassy Suites & Rogers Convention Center. Just right across the street from Mirabella’s Table is another local favorite, Capriccio Ristorante, serving everything from bruschetta to marsala to all kinds of pastas and your decadent desserts.
Feeling the need for a few slices of savory pie? Check out the following places that specialize in pizza. Bariola’s Pizzeria is located near the Pinnacle Hills Promenade and is known for the best game day deals on appetizers and local craft beer. Another great local favorite is The Rail – A Pizza Company in downtown Rogers where The Dumpster is a popular choice (don’t forget to order their wings for an appetizer, you won’t regret this decision). Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom is located at Pleasant Crossing serving up famous deep-dish pizza and a wide selection of beer.
Coffee & Tea
For great tea and coffee options, stop by Savoy Tea Company in the Pinnacle Hills Promenade. You will find great brewed tea but also the supplies to brew your own amazing tea at home. You must try Onyx Coffee Lab at The 1907 and Iron Horse Coffee Company in downtown Rogers. They offer dairy substitutes and have sandwiches and other menu items for those who want more than a great latte. Another fantastic choice in downtown Rogers is Java Dudes Coffee Company. They specialize in coffee, tea, and smoothies but they also have beer, wine, mimosas, and they serve bakery items as well as offer breakfast and lunch options.
The fish tacos and tuna melt at Crabby’s Seafood Bar & Grill on 52nd Street are a staple to their menu. The Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer is essential when visiting Bonefish Grill in Pinnacle Hills. Juicy Tails is a fan-favorite when looking for your Cajun seafood favorites. Catfish John’s has been serving Northwest Arkansas (NWA) since 1987. Grab your favorite seafood dish and side or try out the Family Packs that range from 10 pieces of catfish to 50. Fish City Grill is located near the Pinnacle Hills Promenade and is the perfect spot to stop in while shopping for lunch or dinner. Bayou Boys Crawfish Shack offers award winning crawfish (seasonally), shrimp, alligator sausage, and more. Ruth’s Chris Steak House, located within walking distance from the convention center features a chilled seafood tower with king crab, shrimp, and colossal lump crab.
Las Palmas in downtown Rogers has a plentiful a la carte menu, perfect for those that like to mix it up and sample new things. Chuy’s Tex-Mex has an amazing queso recipe and the décor is beyond fun! Mojitos Modern Mexican Grill is a local restaurant serving both Tex-Mex and authentic Mexican dishes with a Cuban flare. Yeyo’s Mezcaleria y Taqueria at The 1907 is the first of its kind with the largest selection of Mezcal in the state of Arkansas. Pair your tequila with street tacos, burrito bowls, elotes, quesadillas, and more. El Señor De Los Tacos is known for their over 20 options of tacos and for pupusas you have to try El Jazmin Mexican and Salvadorian Restaurant. Both restaurants are located near downtown Rogers. Ranked in the Yelp 2021 Top 100 Places to Eat is Havana Tropical Grill in downtown Rogers. They serve up traditional fare and have an excellent patio perfectly designed for sipping a flight of rum.
Craft beer enthusiasts will find plenty to love in Rogers’ booming beer scene. From innovative microbreweries to flavor-focused taverns to restaurants offering a lineup of their own brews, take your pick from delicious drinks throughout NWA.
