Things To Do in Rogers
Northwest Arkansas continues to grow at a record pace, and Rogers is no exception. Throughout our thriving community, there are projects and businesses popping up, all building upon an already dynamic list of things to do and experience when you’re in town.
With its natural beauty and small-town charm, Rogers, Arkansas is both welcoming and easy to navigate. However, this burgeoning hub is also one of the fastest-growing places in the nation, offering world-class meeting amenities, dynamic intellectual capital and access to innovative industry leaders, from Tyson Foods and J.B. Hunt Transport to Walmart, which have home offices in Northwest Arkansas.
The University of Arkansas system’s flagship campus with its 30,000+ students is also based in Northwest Arkansas. This rapidly expanding area is already home to an array of attractions, from cultural hot spots such as Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art to local flavors like Ozark Brewing Company to outdoor adventure destinations such as Beaver Lake and The Railyard Bike Park. With so many attractions, restaurants, and activities—and millions of dollars in new developments already underway—it’s easy to see why Northwest Arkansas is an ideal location for your next meeting.
For events of all sizes, the Embassy Suites Northwest Arkansas – Hotel, Spa & Convention Center offers ample meeting space and accommodations, and its proximity to major freeways and attractions makes it convenient for attendees. Guests staying at the hotel can enjoy the complimentary shuttle service to restaurants and attractions within a 5-mile radius, however, many shops and restaurants are within walking distance, such as Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse and Bonefish Grill.
Also, within walking distance is the one of the top 100 amphitheaters in the country the Walmart AMP, featuring big-name headliners performing on an outdoor stage. This state-of-the-art facility can accommodate approximately over 11,000 people, making it ideal for company outings and special events. With the recent completion of a $13.9 million expansion of the facility, this live music venue offers new additional amenities, such as several new plazas, covered viewing space, more concessions and an increased capacity.
Adjacent to the Walmart AMP and within walking distance of the Embassy Suites is Topgolf offering groups plenty of options for gourmet dining, fun nightlife, and engaging team building activities. In total there is $400 million of recently completed, ongoing, and planned development in the Pinnacle convention district.
Just across the highway is the Pinnacle Hills Promenade Mall, featuring over 100 shops and 9 full service restaurants making for over 40 within a mile and half of the convention center. By 2022 a pedestrian-friendly bypass will be complete from the Embassy Suites to the mall. Dave and Buster’s offers plenty of group entertainment and dining, while restaurants such as Big Orange, P.F. Chang’s, and Local Lime add to the numerous dining options. A Courtyard by Marriott opened in 2019 and sits adjacent to the Pinnacle Hills Promenade.
Rogers also offers group activities and attractions within a short drive, such as exploring a cave at War Eagle Cavern, hiking at Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area, learning local history at Daisy Airgun Museum, and much more. New to downtown Rogers is the Railyard Park . The newly renovated park features a Water Stop splash pad, Play Yard for the kids, picnic tables, benches, shade structures, and is located in the heart of downtown Rogers near many shops and restaurants. The park also has a stage, the Butterfield Stage, that will be programmed with music and events throughout the year. Frisco Plaza is home to the downtown Rogers farmers market, from May through October each year.
