Cooking for a Cause: At Honeycomb Kitchen Shop, we believe food has the power to bring people together—and to make a real difference. That’s why we’re proud to introduce our new special benefit cooking classes where 20% of all ticket sales will be donated to a local charity or organization doing remarkable things and making a meaningful impact right here in our community. This class will benefit Ozark Slow Food, a local nonprofit dedicated to celebrating good, clean, and fair food. Embracing a farm-to-table philosophy, they believe food should be fresh, high quality, and taste good; food should be produced in a clean way that does not harm the environment, animal well-being, or human health; and that producers should receive a fair compensation for their work. We are proud to partner with them in their efforts to promote localvore living in our community.

About the Class: Immerse yourself in the art of slow food with Chef Kevin Quinn in the HKS Kitchen for a hands-on cooking class that brings rich Italian-inspired flavors to the table through locally-sourced seasonal ingredients rooted in sustainability and tradition. The evening will begin with a combination of savory and earthy flavors in chef’s Mushrooms Marche Style and a refreshing Bellini, perfectly paired to complement this authentic Italian feast. Then, you’ll learn how to craft a rustic Chicken Cacciatore. As it simmers to perfection, you’ll work on a side dish of Lemony Broccoli Rabe and White Beans to brighten the meal. And you’ll end the evening with a luscious Local Berry Shortcake that highlights sweet regional produce. Come discover how delicious capturing the tastes of Italy through a localvore lens can be when you set your table with fresh ingredients sourced from area food producers. Recipes will be provided. Tickets are priced per person. Must be 21+ to attend.

*All class ticket sales are final. No refunds or credit transfers to other classes are available. If you purchase a ticket and are unable to attend, please contact us to check our waitlist.*
