Cooking Class – The Plant-Based Kitchen: “Crab” Cakes

Discover just how deliciously satisfying plant-based cooking can be in the HKS Kitchen with Chef Amy Keever in this flavor-packed, hands-on class. You’ll start the evening off with Savory Stuffed Mushrooms filled with a hearty, herb mixture that delivers big umami in every bite. For the main course, Chef Amy has put her spin on a seafood classic and will instruct you how to create Vegan “Crab” Cakes with a from scratch Zesty Remoulade Sauce that perfectly balances richness and brightness. And, for the side, you will learn how to whisk together a Lemon Vinaigrette dressing to top an Arugula Salad finished with a drizzle of Cranberry Balsamic. We’ll end on a sweet note with a tender Lemon Drizzle Cake, bursting with citrus flavor and just the right touch of sweetness. This plant-based menu will add delicious recipes to your arsenal and give you sauce and dressing making skills to use in a variety of ways in your own kitchens. This class menu is vegan and dairy-free; however, it is not gluten-free. Recipes will be provided. Tickets are priced per person.

Artist and plant-based chef Amy Keever brings her creativity and eye for beauty from the art studio to the kitchen.
