Music Moves Sound Mixing Class

Ever wondered what actually goes into making a live band sound great? This hands-on, 4-hour Live Sound Mixing Class will walk you through the fundamentals of mixing a live show—from gain structure, EQ, compression, and effects to monitors, feedback control, troubleshooting, and building a balanced mix.

The class is led by Honnah Heartsong, a live sound engineer with 22 years of experience working most recently as the Audio Manager at the Walton Arts Center for the past 8 years. Drawing from real-world experience behind the console, Honnah will share practical techniques you can immediately put to use at your next show.

Whether you’re new to live audio or already mixing and want to sharpen your skills, you’ll leave with a better understanding of your console, a stronger ear, and a more confident approach to mixing live sound.
