Summertime Fun at the Museum
Discover the skills that built a nation! This summer, the Rogers Historical Museum invites young historians and creators to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary by exploring the heritage crafts of Colonial America. The museum is thrilled to announce its “Summertime Fun at the Museum: Heritage Crafts” series, offering free, hands-on workshops that bring colonial-era skills to life. From fiber to finished product, participants will learn the techniques that were essential to survival and daily life in early American history through a series of hands-on workshops.
Designed for children ages 6-12, this four-session series combines engaging history lessons with interactive, take-home crafts. Participants will explore the art of daily life in early America, learning about the ingenuity and creativity required before modern technology.
