Visitor Center & Educational Exhibits

Hobbs State Park Conservation Area spans 12,056 acres of Ozark forest, streams, and ridges just 15 minutes drive east of downtown Rogers, Arkansas. Whether you’re after mountain biking on the Karst Loop, primitive lakeside camping, immersive Visitor Center exhibits, or fishing at Beaver Lake, this insider’s guide shows you how to experience the very best of the Natural State.

The visitor center boasts a wealth of interactive exhibits that engage and educate visitors of all ages. From hands-on displays highlighting the park’s wildlife and ecology to multimedia presentations exploring the cultural heritage of the Ozarks, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Knowledgeable staff and volunteers are on hand to answer questions, offer insights, and provide guidance for exploring the park’s trails and attractions.

The Visitor Center serves as a hub of information and activity designed to enhance visitors’ understanding and appreciation of the region’s natural splendor. Here, guests can embark on a journey of discovery through interactive exhibits, educational displays, and informative presentations that showcase the unique flora, fauna, and geological features of the Ozark Highlands. Primitive Camping Overlooking Beaver Lake

Monument Trail – Karst Loop Campsites

For hikers and mountain bikers craving a longer ride or trek, the Karst Loop campsites offer a scenic and satisfying overnight destination.

Getting There

  • Approximately 8 miles from the Monument Trailhead
  • Access by foot or bike only
  • Designated parking available at the Monument Trail trailhead near the visitor center

Camp Amenities

  • One shared toilet serving the Karst campsites
  • Fire rings / grills
  • Designated tent pads (maximum of two tents per site)

Tents must be placed on tent pads to protect the surrounding landscape and preserve the experience for future visitors.

Pigeon Roost Camp Sites

Looking to truly unplug? The Pigeon Roost campsites offer a peaceful backcountry experience surrounded by natural beauty. Accessible by foot only, these sites reward hikers with solitude, starry skies, and the kind of quiet you can’t find in town.

Getting There

  • Approximately 4 miles from the Pigeon Roost Trailhead
  • Hike-in access only (no vehicle access)

Camp Amenities

  • Designated tent pads (some sites accommodate multiple tents)
  • Fire rings / grills for cooking and campfires
  • Lantern / trash poles

These amenities were thoughtfully installed by local troops of the Boy Scouts of America as part of Eagle Scout service projects — a meaningful community contribution to your outdoor experience.

Know Before You Go

Campers must practice Leave No Trace principles and bury human waste in a 6–8 inch cathole at least 300 feet from water sources.

There are no toilets at these campsites.

Refuel and Recharge in Rogers

After a day at Hobbs, head to Downtown Rogers to refuel and recharge.

For lunch or dinner, locals love The Rail-A Pizza Co, which serves specialty pies like Chicken Pesto. To find more places to eat downtown, check out our restaurants page!

In downtown Rogers, craft beer is easy to find, and Ozark Beer Company offers a variety of IPAs. Just north of downtown, New Province Brewing Co. pours Philosopher IPA and a potent Veritas Belgian Quadruple.
